HEARTLAND POODLES AND DOODLES
In a small town in central Florida we put the Heart in Heartland. We breed Standard Poodles, English Cream Golden Retrievers and Doodles.

Penn-hipp and additional testing completed with excellent results. we update all testing as it becomes available. Health and temperament as well as social development and nutrition comes first. Our dogs are a part of our family and get all the love and attention they need and deserve. Puppy Culture is a part of our breeding program so that every one of our puppies can have a good head start in life with the important skills needed birth to 8 weeks. We provide important information to guide them through the next several weeks in their new home.
The Standard Poodle
The standard poodle is a proud, graceful and intelligent breed. They are good natured and one of the most trainable breeds . They don’t do well living outside in a kennel because they enjoy being inside with their owners and don’t like being alone. They are excellent with children and are friendly to everyone including other dogs. Standards are medium to large with dark oval eyes. Height is 15 inches or more at the shoulder and 45-70lbs. for a male and 45-60 lbs for a female which is an average . AKC requires standards to be over 15 inches at the shoulder or they can not compete, a good diet is essential and they should eat small meals 2-3 times a day. The standard needs daily exercise which could be daily walks, going to a dog park or running and playing in the yard. They will be in better spirits and fitter if given a place to run and play. They need regular grooming and may I suggest a large metal comb and a brush after a bath.
